You are probably aware of the data breach at Target over the past few weeks. FTWCCU’s system, and the system of our card processing partner, is secure and effectively monitored constantly. Fraud detecting processes are in place to protect your accounts at FTWCCU. However, when your personal information is stolen from a third party retailer, as it was in this case, we strongly encourage you to closely monitor your accounts to ensure that all transactions are accurate. If you suspect a transaction was not made by you or an authorized cardholder, please report it immediately at (800)528-2273.
FTWCCU has asked our card processor to reissue all cards we believe were involved in this data breach. Members will be able to continue to use the existing card for transactions that require a PIN until the replacement card arrives. However, transactions that are signature based, such as a restaurant transaction, will not be approved. FTWCCU will continue to monitor card transactions in order to protect our member’s accounts.
